Professors Andrew Schepard, Theo Liebmann Organize National Summit to Develop Recommendations for Youth Aging Out of Foster Care
Professor Theo Liebmann served as co-reporter and co-organizer and Professor Andrew Schepard served as organizer of Charting a Better Future for Youth: A National Summit on Effective Implementation of the Fostering Connections to Success Act sponsored by the American Bar Association Commission on Youth at Risk and held at Roosevelt House Public Policy Institute at Hunter College, New York, N.Y. April 15-16, 2010. The convening included multi disciplinary leadership of the child welfare community from all across the County. Hofstra Law students participated extensively in the convening. The convening was inspired by the April 2010 issue of the Family Court Review which is a special issue on youth aging out of foster care.
