Professor Hillary Burgess presented her paper-in-progress, Deepening the Discourse: Experiential Exercises with Flowcharts Facilitate Learning Law at Complex Cognitive Levels at a Scholar’s forum hosted by Marquette Law School. The paper applies the theoretical framework for how people learn and the brain science of how adults learn to the law school learning environment. The paper also suggests practical exercises faculty can do with students that allow professors to cover more content at a deeper level. All of the suggestions are grounded in educational and neuro psychology.
