Prof. James Sample in Mother Jones
Legal blog GavelGrab discusses the article “Permission to Encroach the Bench: Why bother with a congressman when you can buy yourself a judge?” The article is featured in the May/June issue of the national magazine Mother Jones. The article, which focuses on the potential impact of the Citizens United decision on judicial elections, quotes Professor James Sample as saying that Citizens United is “going to increase the ability of corporations, and to a much lesser extent unions, to engage in electioneering that is basically aimed at winning particular cases.”
