Prof. Barbara Barron Trains Supreme Court and District Judges in Kosovo

Hofstra Law Professor Barbara Barron recently spent October 12 – October 14 in Kosovo where she taught in a special skills training program sponsored by the United States Department of State and the Kosovo Judicial Institute. She trained Kosovar Supreme Court and District Court judges as well as special prosecutors from Albania in the art of teaching American trial advocacy skills to prosecutors and criminal defense attorneys throughout the two countries. It is now a national mandate that all Kosovar lawyers must take American trial advocacy skills training programs as part of their continuing legal education. In addition to teaching in the special program, she gave two presentations, “The Theoretical Construct of the Direct Examination in a Criminal Case” and the “Theoretical Construct of the Opening Statement.”
