Hofstra Law Students Represent Voters Turned Away From the Polls

Nassau: Courting Votes, So to Speak

A man who moved to Lynbrook last year told Justice Dana Winslow that when he changed his driver’s license he checked off the motor voter box to amend his registration, but it never went through.
The man was represented by Hofstra Law student John Turnbauch of New Hyde Park, one of four students with the school’s law clinic who are allowed to represent voters in court under supervision of law professor Serge Martinez (Yale Law). Judge Winslow signed the order.
