Prof. Leon Friedman to Participate in South Carolina Historical Society’s 2011 Colloquium

On May 19-20, Professor Leon Friedman will participate in a South Carolina Historical Society conference to commemorate J. Waties Waring and his landmark school desegregation decision, Briggs v. Elliot. The colloquium, “J. Waties Waring and the Dissent that Changed America,” will also feature distinguished faculty including Professor Charles J. Ogletree, Jr. of Harvard Law School, among others. Friedman will discuss the evolution of the Briggs case.
