Prof. James Sample to Participate in 32nd ABA National Conference on Professional Responsibility
On Thursday, June 2, James Sample will participate in a panel discussion titled “Judicial Ethics, Political Activity and Beyond” at the 32nd American Bar Association National Conference on Professional Responsibility in Memphis, Tennessee.
Sample’s co-panelists will include two distinguished jurists, the Honorable Joe G. Riley and Honorable Thomas L. Kilbride. The Hon. Joe G. Riley retired from the bench in 2004 having served 7 years on the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals and 18 years as a Circuit Court Judge in Dyer and Lake Counties. As a Circuit Court Judge, he was one of the pioneers of judicial mediations in civil and domestic cases even prior to the adoption of Rule 31. The Hon. Thomas Kilbride is the chief justice of the Supreme Court of Illinois.
