Call for Papers: University of Memphis Law Review Spring Symposium

On March 30, 2012, the University of Memphis Law Review will hold its annual Spring Symposium. Titled Cultural Competency and the Death Penalty, this symposium will highlight a new method of representation called “cultural competence,” which investigates the sociological relationship between the defendant and the crime, resulting in a sentencing phase that is free of stereotypes.

A symposium edition of the University of Memphis Law Review will be dedicated to cultural competency and the death penalty in conjunction with this event.

Faculty who are interested in submitting an article on this topic should contact Isaac Kimes at (901) 678-2097 /iukimes@memphis.edu.
