Prof. Andrew Schepard Attends Semiannual Meeting of NYS Permanent Commission on Justice for Children

Andrew Schepard, Professor of Law and Director of the Center for Children, Families and the Law

On Tuesday, October 18, Andrew Schepard attended the semi-annual meeting of the New York State Permanent Judicial Commission on Justice for Children, of which he is a member. The main topic of the meeting was a review of a major study of the impact of school disciplinary procedures (such as suspensions and expulsions) on a student’s future educational progress, interaction with the juvenile justice system and implications for New York State.
