Prof. Brian Frye to Participate in Upcoming Documentary Series, Fair Use Discussion and Conversations on Philanthropy Colloquium

Professor Brian Frye has three upcoming presentations:

  • On Wednesday, October 26 at 7:30 p.m., he will participate inSnapshots: Tourism in Cinema, a series about documentary as a form of tourism, of the filmmaker looking at a place through the gaze of an outsider. He will present footage from his collection and discuss the influence of this type of work on his filmmaking.
  • He will present his paper, “Solving Charity Failures,” at “The Law of Charity: History, Theory and Social Practice” colloquium, sponsored by Conversations on Philanthropy, on November 17-20, 2011 at the Conrad Indianapolis Hotel.

Additionally, his paper, “The Dialectic of Obscenity” is forthcoming in Hamline Law Review.
