Prof. Vern Walker Serves on Program Committee for Semantic Processing of Legal Texts

Vern R. Walker, Professor of Law and Director of the Research Laboratory for Law, Logic and Technology

Professor Vern R. Walker is on the Program Committee for the fourth Workshop on Semantic Processing of Legal Texts, to be held in Istanbul on May 27, 2012.

The main goals of the workshop and associated events are to provide an overview of the state-of-the-art in legal knowledge extraction and management, to explore new research and development directions and emerging trends, and to exchange information regarding legal language resources and human language technologies and their applications.

The workshop will be part of the Eighth International Conference on Language Resources and Evaluation (LREC).
