Prof. Theo Liebmann Presents Paper on Immigration and Families at AALS Conference on Clinical Legal Education
Professor Liebmann presented his upcoming article on Collateral Advocacy for Immigrant Youth and Families. The article argues that while most discourse on the intersection of immigration law with other legal arenas focuses on collateral consequences, a complementary discourse on collateral opportunities should also be taking place. The article describes under what circumstances ethical mandates compel such “collateral advocacy,” and applies the analysis to family court representation of survivors of familial abuse, neglect and abandonment.
