Barbara Barron recently conducted a 5 day trial skills course for 25 criminal defense attorneys in Chisinau, Moldova, from May 28 – June 1, on behalf of ABA ROLI. The course consisted of intensive examination and argument skills sessions, which culminated in full trials that were presided over by Moldovan judges. On June 2 and 3, she conducted an introductory skills teaching course for a group of 18 attorneys in Chisinau, also on behalf of ABA ROLI. The course centered on the teaching methodology for oral and written advocacy. Barron created the curriculum for both Chisinau courses and was the sole instructor.
After returning from oversees, Barron was part of the senior faculty for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA) teacher training course in New York City from June 7 – 9.
