Prof. James Sample Presents at New York Bar Association Seminar

James Sample, Associate Professor of Law

Last Friday, James Sample presented at a New York Bar Association seminar titled “Representing the Political Candidate in New York” in Melville. The event, which is part of a statewide series, was convened for attorneys involved or interested in political campaigns, as well as those who represent political and public figures.

While the program addressed many issues and problems arising under New York’s election law, Sample’s presentation focused specifically on Citizens United. In his remarks, Sample addressed the political perspectives and enforceability of current state and federal laws, as well as the decision’s impact on current New York campaign finance laws.
