Prof. Andrew Schepard Consults to Institute for the Advancement of the American Legal System and Presents on Its Plans in Denver
Professor Andrew Schepard is now a consultant to the Institute for the Advancement of the American Legal System which is sponsoring an Honoring Families Initiative. As part of that Initiative, Schepard is consulting about a plan for an interdisciplinary center to support separating and divorcing parents which will be created on campus at Denver University. The Center’s goal is to encourage as many parents as possible to plan for the future economic, emotional, and educational welfare of their children and each other, and reach agreement without judicial intervention to resolve their disputes. It is a joint project of the Denver University Law School, School of Social Work, and Department of Psychology. It is also supported by the Colorado College of Financial Planning and will serve as a vehicle to educate students of all the sponsoring entities.
On Tuesday, November 6, 2012, Schepard made presentations about the plan for the Center to the faculty and students of Denver University School of Law and leadership of the Colorado Divorce and Family Law Bar.
