Prof. Linda Galler Speaks at American Bar Association Tax Session Meeting

Professor Linda Galler was a featured speaker on January 26, 2013 at the American Bar Association Section of Taxation Midyear Meeting in Orlando, Florida. Professor Galler spoke and moderated a panel on “Practical and Ethical Strategies in Representing Couples.” The program focused on advising and representing (1) couples whose marriages are respected under both state and federal tax laws, (2) couples whose marriages are respected under state laws but not for federal tax purposes under the authority of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), and (3) couples in domestic partnerships or civil unions that are not recognized as marriages under either federal or state law.
