Prof. James Sample Testifies at Hearing on NY Disclosure Rules for Nonprofits That Electioneer

Professor James Sample testified at a February 27, 2013, hearing in Mineola convened by New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman about proposed regulations regarding disclosure of the electioneering efforts of 501(c)(4) organizations.

Professor Sample testified in favor of Schneiderman’s proposed regulations aimed at trying to ameliorate the proliferation of so called “dark money” since the 2010 Supreme Court decision in Citizens United.
