The Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University has named Raechel J. Horowitz 1L of Warwick, New York, and Seth A. Nadel 1L of Douglaston, New York, as the 2013 recipients of the Moritt Hock & Hamroff LLP Annual Scholarship, a tuition scholarship awarded to one or more first-year law students.
Horowitz also received a Merit Scholarship, the Charles H. Revson Law Students Public Interest Fellowship and the First-Year Excellence Award in Contracts from Hofstra Law. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University at Buffalo and is expected to earn her Juris Doctor from Hofstra Law in May 2015.
Nadel received a Merit Scholarship from Hofstra Law and earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Long Island University, where he was the recipient of a C.W. Post Academic Scholarship. He is expected to earn his Juris Doctor from Hofstra Law in May 2015. “We are delighted to provide this solid foundation upon which our scholarship recipients can continue to successfully pursue their legal studies as part of our firm’s commitment to actively support the legal profession’s next generation of leaders,” said Marc L. Hamroff ’83, managing partner of the firm.
The Moritt Hock & Hamroff LLP Annual Scholarship is awarded to one or more first-year law students (full-and part-time) who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, financial need and the potential to become a future leader in the profession. The scholarship also offers recipients the unique opportunity to develop networking and mentoring relationships with members of the firm.
