Professor Susan Fortney spoke at the 39th ABA National Conference on Professional Responsibility, the preeminent legal ethics conference attended by academics, practitioners and regulators. Her topic was Lawyer Accountability, the subject of a forthcoming law review article written by Professor Fortney.

That same day, Professor Fortney also testified before the ABA Standing Committee on Professional Discipline. In urging the Committee to integrate management-based regulation of law firms into the lawyer discipline regime in the U.S., she drew on the results of her empirical research on incorporated law firms in Australia.
