Prof. Andrew Schepard Speaks to Colorado State Bar Association Family Law Institute
On Sunday, August 9, Professor Andrew Schepard moderated a panel and spoke to the 2013 Family Law Institute of the Colorado State Bar Association. His topic was the Honoring Families Initiative of the Institute for the Advancement of the American Legal System for which he serves as a consultant. The panel and speech were part of an overall “access to justice” theme of the Institute.
From August 10 to August 16, Professor Schepard taught in the multi-disciplinary training program for the first group of law students, social work students and psychology students who will staff the Resource Center for Separating and Divorcing Families at the University of Denver. This intensive course was the first time that students from different disciplines have been trained together to provide educational, dispute resolution and therapeutic services to meet the needs of separating and divorcing families. Professor Schepard serves as a principal consultant in the development of the Center and its training program.
