Prof. Susan Fortney Speaks at International Workshop on Legal Ethics

Susan Fortney, Howard Lichtenstein Distinguished Professor of Legal Ethics and Director of the Institute for the Study of Legal Ethics

On November 25-26, 2013, Susan Fortney, the Howard Lichtenstein Distinguished Professor of Legal Ethics, presented at a program hosted by Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies, The Protection Project, and the University of Norway Faculty of Law.

The International Workshop on Legal Ethics and Professional Responsibility, held in Oslo, Norway, included experts from various Middle Eastern countries.

Workshop participants explored issues related to developing more formal legal ethics codes and legal ethics education for lawyers in Middle Eastern counties.

Professor Fortney discussed the process involved in developing and implementing model rules of professional responsibility and disciplinary enforcement.
