Prof. Susan Fortney Delivers 2014 Wickwire Lecture in Professional Responsibility and Legal Ethics

Susan Fortney, Howard Lichtenstein Distinguished Professor of Legal Ethics and Director of the Institute for the Study of Legal Ethics

On March 6, 2014, Susan Fortney, the Howard Lichtenstein Distinguished Professor of Legal Ethics, delivered the 23rd annual F.B. Wickwire Memorial Lecture in Professional Responsibility and Legal Ethics. The Wickwire lecture is co-sponsored by The Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society and the Schulich School of Law.

Professor Fortney’s topic was “Proactive Regulation of Lawyers: Proof and Possibilities.” In the lecture, she drew on findings from her empirical research on management-based regulation of lawyers.
