Queens DA Announces Hiring of 4 Hofstra Law Graduates

The Queens District Attorney’s Office has announced the hiring of four Hofstra Law alumni: Kaitlyn Flynn ’14, Michelle Holmes ’14, Donald Kernisant ’14 and Timothy McGrath ’98. The alumni were sworn in on September 2, 2014, and are part of a class of 21 new assistant district attorneys.

“These young women and men were hired after a highly selective recruitment process that I established soon after I became the District Attorney,” said Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brown in the press release. “They are bright young professionals from some of the nation’s finest law schools who have elected to enter public service and serve the people of Queens County as prosecutors. I know they will serve with distinction.”

The new hires have begun an intensive training course that includes lectures, courtroom observation, mock hearings and visits to correctional facilities and alternative sentencing programs.
