Prof. Alafair Burke Speaks on Law and Fiction at Stanford Law School

Alafair S. Burke, Professor of Law and Hofstra Research Fellow

Professor Alafair Burke was one of several lawyer-novelists who discussed legal novel writing at “Legal Fictions: Scott Turow and Other Leading Legal Novelists in Conversation on Law, Practice, and Writing Fiction” at Stanford Law School on Feb. 19, 2015.

The event was sponsored by the Stanford Center on the Legal Profession and the Stanford Program in Law and Society.

The other panelists were Scott Turow, Charles Rosenberg and Professors Lawrence Friedman and Paul Goldstein of Stanford Law.

In addition to her substantial research in the areas of prosecutorial and police discretion, Professor Burke has authored 11 best-selling crime novels.
