Prof. Stefan Krieger Presents at Applied Legal Storytelling Conference

Stefan Krieger, Richard J. Cardali Distinguished Professor of Trial Advocacy, Director of Center for Applied Legal Reasoning and Director Emeritus of Hofstra Clinical Programs

Professor Stefan Krieger, along with Legal Services attorney Shoshana Krieger, his daughter, presented the paper “Creating the Courtyard in the Courtroom: How Cases Can Create Client Community”at the Fifth Biennial Applied Legal Storytelling Conference in Seattle on July 22, 2015.

In this paper, Professor Krieger and Ms. Krieger discuss how the interplay between legal doctrine and narrative in the housing discrimination case on behalf of nine immigrant clients against the Village of Farmingdale was a catalyst for the creation of a community among these clients.
