Prof. Stefan Krieger Publishes Essay on Using Electronic Resources to Solve Legal Problems

Stefan Krieger, Richard J. Cardali Distinguished Professor of Trial Advocacy, Director of Center for Applied Legal Reasoning and Director Emeritus of Hofstra Clinical Programs

In celebration of the new electronic platform for the Legal Writing Journal, the editors invited Professor Stefan Krieger, among other distinguished research scholars, to write an essay about the changing landscape of legal research.

In his essay, “The Challenge of Using Electronic Resources to Solve Ill-Structured Legal Problems,” Professor Krieger describes the findings of an empirical study he conducted with Professor Katrina Fischer Kuh on the effect of medium on legal research, and discusses the implications of that study on training students in the use of electronic resources to handle complex legal problems.
