Queens DA Announces Hiring of 2 Class of ’15 Hofstra Law Graduates

The Queens District Attorney’s Office announced the hiring of two Class of 2015 graduates: Andres Jaime Sanchez and Aaron M. Spurlock. The alumni were sworn in on Sept. 10 as part of a class of 18 new assistant district attorneys.

“These young women and men were hired after a highly selective recruitment process that I established soon after I became the district attorney 24 years ago,” said Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brown in the press release. “They are bright young professionals from some of the nation’s finest law schools who have elected to enter public service and serve the people of Queens County as prosecutors. I know that they will serve with distinction.”

Sanchez and Spurlock will be assigned to the Criminal Court/Intake Bureau or the Domestic Violence Bureau, after which they will be offered the opportunity for assignments in the Appeals Bureau and the Investigations Division.
