Prof. Julian Ku Appears in Fox 5 NY News Report on Terrorism After Bombing in Chelsea

Julian Ku, Maurice A. Deane Distinguished Professor of Constitutional Law, Faculty Director of International Programs

Julian Ku, the Maurice A. Deane Distinguished Professor of Constitutional Law, appeared in a Sept. 19, 2016, report on Fox 5 New York News, “What Is Terrorism.” The report was prompted by New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio’s decision not to refer to the Sept. 17 bombing in Chelsea as terrorism in his first statement after the incident.

Professor Ku explained what makes terrorism different legally and suggested that, for the media, the question about the Chelsea bombing was not whether it was terrorism but what kind of terrorism it was — domestic, international or Islamic.
