Hofstra Law Associate Dean for Career Services Christopher Caruso ’00 was interviewed by Long Island Business News for a story on efforts by Long Island law schools to expand hiring opportunities for their graduates.
In the article, published on June 2, Caruso describes the tactics devised by the Career Services team that have enabled Hofstra Law graduates to improve their employment outcomes for five years in a row, with the Class of 2016 ranking 35th nationally and sixth among New York state law schools.
Key among these efforts, Caruso says, is cultivating relationships to increase the number of New York City and large Long Island firms recruiting on campus, which allows students to connect with recruiters and Hofstra Law alumni. Also, the Career Services team starts working with students on finding opportunities in the second year.
