Hofstra Law to Honor Outstanding Women in Law at 3rd Annual Awards Reception

The third annual Outstanding Women in Law Reception will be held on Tuesday, April 24, at 6 p.m. at The Cottage at Milleridge in Jericho, New York. The reception, which brings together judges, attorneys, business executives and professors, celebrates women who have made meaningful and inspiring contributions to the legal community.

Nassau County Executive Laura Curran will deliver the keynote address during the reception. Curran was elected county executive in the 2017 elections. A former two-time county legislator, she is Nassau’s ninth county executive and the first female elected to the office. She started in public service as a trustee on the Baldwin Board of Education from 2011-2014, serving as president in her final year.

The Outstanding Women in Law Reception raises funds for programs of Hofstra Law, including the Center for Children, Families and the Law. This year’s reception is supported by the following sponsors (as of April 12):
