Prof. Ronald Colombo Comments in Law360 Story on Key Securities Cases in 1st Half of 2018

Ron Colombo, a professor at Hofstra University’s Maurice A. Deane School of Law, said the Lucia [v. the SEC] ruling “changes business as usual in a very big way.”

“For the longest time, the SEC was very happy picking their own administrative law judges. Not only does this upend business as usual, beyond that it also opens up a lot of decisions that were previously rendered to challenges,” Colombo said. “I think that’s the biggest deal so far in 2018.”
