Prof. Daniel Greenwood Signs 2nd Circuit Amicus Brief in Exxon Mobil Corp. v. Healey et al.

Daniel J.H. Greenwood, Professor of Law

Professor Daniel J.H. Greenwood joined a group of law professors who specialize in constitutional law in signing an amicus brief in Exxon Mobil Corp. v. Healey et al., No. 18-1170 (2d Cir. 2018). He also assisted in authoring the brief.

The brief argues that “the First Amendment does not protect a publicly traded corporation from an attorney general’s investigation into potential violations of state laws prohibiting corporations from misleading investors about the financial risks associated with their securities and from misleading consumers about their products. This Court should affirm the District Court’s decision.”
